University of Ibadan (UI) Releases 2023/2024 Post-UTME Cut-off Marks
Following the conclusion of Post UTME Screening in December 2023, the University of Ibadan (UI) has released the Departmental Cut-Off Marks for the 2023/2024 admissions exercise.
This is a list of minimum post-UTME scores used for admitting applicants into the university’s degree programs for the 2023/2024 session. Candidates who passed the cutoff marks (merit, catchment or ELDS) are therefore highly hopeful to be offered admission into the institution.
UI 2023 Post UTME Cut-Off Marks
The admission cutoff marks are displayed in the tabe below, they are calculated using the JAMB score (50%) and Post UTME score (50%), that means what you had in UTME/8 and Post UTME/2.

What Happens if You Don’t Meet the Cut-off Mark in UI?
Candidates who are unable to meet up with the cutoff marks are being offered a new course via a system called transfer approval on JAMB CAPS. The transfer system is designed by JAMB to allow the school to offer a new course to a candidate who does not meet the cutoff mark, it is an automatic process, done based on the candidate’s score and available spaces after those who met the cutoff mark has been offered admission, as such, candidates do not need to take special action except to accept or reject the new course when offered. to know if you have been offered a new course, visit JAMB CAPS portal and click on “Transfer Approval Section“. If there is a new course, you are expected to accept the course so that the school can start processing your admission to it. You are to log in to the JAMB CAPS portal using a LAPTOP for this, do not use your mobile phone.
This will be announced on the Univesity of Ibadan admissions portal when available.

Candidates eligible for admission will be offered admission via the JAMB CAPS portal. You can click here to check the process of accessing JAMB CAPS. Candidates are also expected to have uploaded their O’level (WAEC/NECO) to JAMB portal to be considered for Admission.
