Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) invites suitably qualified candidates to join its 2023/2024 academic session through the Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise. This comprehensive guide unveils the requirements, eligibility, and application process for your desired course.
Eligibility
Candidates who initially chose UNIZIK or its affiliated institutions as their first choice and meet the designated cut-off mark. Aspiring scholars who didn’t choose UNIZIK initially but achieved the required cut-off marks are eligible to apply. For such candidates, a visit to the JAMB accredited centers to do change of institution is required.
Application Step-by-Step Guide
The application process is designed for ease. Follow these steps from August 10th to September 30th, 2023:
- Visit apply.unizik.edu.ng.
- Create an account using your email, phone number, and a chosen password.
- Validate the account through the code sent to your email/phone.
- Log in and access the 2023 Post UTME application.
- Link your JAMB registration profile.
- Print your Invoice and make a payment of ₦2000 at the bank.
- Return to the portal and complete the application form.
- An email will confirm receipt of your application.
Note: Changes to your course or institution into UNIZIK must be finalized by September 16th, 2023.
Direct Entry Candidates Additional Guidelines
Direct Entry candidates should hold qualifications such as OND/HND/First Degree or A’Level in relevant disciplines and subjects.
In addition to the guidelines above, DE students are required to;

- Make sure your academic transcript reaches the Registrar, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
- Submit hard copies of essential documents to the Deputy Registrar (Admissions) by September 16th, 2023.
Note: Candidates without transcripts by the deadline won’t be considered for admission.
Requirements for the Screening Exercise
Stay updated through your phone, email, and the UNIZIK website for post-UTME/DE screening exercise details. Ensure your O’level results are uploaded on the JAMB portal and you complete online registration; non-registration means exclusion from the screening.
Important note to all applicants
- Payments with incorrect JAMB registration numbers won’t be the University’s responsibility.
- Avoid fraudulent payments not aligned with UNIZIK’s directives.
