JAMB has now made it possible for candidates to confirm or decline their admission offers via SMS using their registered phone number in 2026.
Before Accepting Admission
Ensure to check your admission status on JAMB Efacility website, and you have seen “Congratulations You Have Been Offered Admission” on your JAMB CAPS. Once you see this, proceed to follow the steps below to accept your admission yourself.

There are 2 methods of accepting your admission, one is through SMS method, and the second is by visiting CBT Center
Accepting JAMB Admission via SMS
Here’s what you need to do:
- 1. Make sure you have enough airtime on the phone number linked to your JAMB profile.
- 2. Type your JAMB Registration Number, leave a space, then type ACCEPT or REJECT.
- 3. Send the message as SMS to 55019.
- 4. Ensure you have at least airtime of 50 naira before sending the SMS
Here is an example text
202512345678AB ACCEPT
202598765432CD REJECT
Replace the JAMB registration number with yours, and send this as SMS to 55019 through your messaging app.

Keep checking your JAMB CAPS frequently so you’ll know the moment you’ve been offered admission and can take action immediately.
Lost SIM and Cannot Accept Admission Using SMS
If you no longer have access to the phone number linked to your JAMB profile, visit the nearest JAMB CBT Centre to complete the process of accepting your admission offer.

What Next?
- After accepting, proceed with payment of acceptance fees and other things where available and print your official JAMB Admission Letter with us.
- Note: Admission letters can only be accessed after you accept your admission via SMS or CBT Center.
