If you are an aspirant of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) for the 2025/2026 academic session, the POST-UTME screening is your next big step after UTME. Mode of OAU Post UTME Exam
The OAU POST-UTME screening exercise will be conducted entirely online.
This means:
- You can take the exam from any location—no need to travel to Ile-Ife.
- The system is designed to ensure flexibility and fairness while maintaining strict integrity checks.
Technical Requirements for OAU Post UTME Aptitude Test
To sit for the exam, you should get:
- A laptop or PC with a functional webcam (mobile phones are not recommended).
- A stable internet connection to avoid disruptions.
- The Safe Exam Browser (SEB) application installed—this is the only browser allowed for the exam.
- If you do not have a laptop that met the requirements, you can get an exam center or cafe around to take the exam.
Subject Combination for OAU Post UTME
The POST-UTME will test you in four subjects:
- Your three main JAMB UTME subjects.
- Aptitude (replaces Use of English).
For example, if you wrote English, Government, Literature and CRS in JAMB UTME, you will do the same in OAU Post UTME but English is replaced with Aptitude

- Mathematics
- General Knowledge
- Verbal & Logical Reasoning
- Current Affairs (including OAU-related topics)
Exam Format
- 10 questions per subject.
- Total: 40 questions.
- Duration: 1 hour.

- Form Sales: Monday, 21st July – Sunday, 24th August 2025.
- Exam Window: Monday, 1st – Friday, 5th September 2025.
- Screening Schedule Release: Thursday, 27th August 2025.

OAU Post UTME Aggregate Score Calculation
Your final aggregate score is calculated as follows:
- UTME Score: 50% → (JAMB score ÷ 8)
- POST-UTME Score: 40%
- O’Level Result: 10%
O’Level Grading Scale:
A1 = 10 | B2 = 9 | B3 = 8 | C4 = 7 | C5 = 6 | C6 = 5 (D7 and below = 0)
Only your five best subjects are considered:
- 4 UTME-related subjects
- 1 additional subject with the highest grade
Example:
English (B2 = 9), Chemistry (A1 = 10), Physics (B3 = 8), Biology (B2 = 9), Mathematics (A1 = 10)
Total = 46 → 46 ÷ 5 = 9.2/10

Important Notes
- Only candidates with valid O’Level results uploaded to JAMB portal at the time of POST-UTME will be considered for admission.
