The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2026/2027 admission session is fast approaching. To help you prepare properly and avoid last-minute mistakes, here is a comprehensive checklist that covers everything you need to do before your exam day.

1. Print Your Examination Slip

The examination slip is your most important document for the screening exercise. The exam will run in batches from September 25 to September 30, 2026. You must know your specific batch and date.

Login to https://eportal2.oauife.edu.ng/ goto printouts and print the application slip. Save as PDF also.

When printing your slip, make sure you print at least two copies. Keep one copy safe and take the other with you to the exam venue. Also, memorise your registration number because you will need it on exam day.

2. Arrive in Ile-Ife a Day Before

If you have a place to stay in Ile-Ife, it is highly recommended that you arrive at least a day before your scheduled exam. This gives you time to locate the exam venue, settle in, and rest properly before the screening exercise. Arriving late on exam day can cause unnecessary stress and may affect your performance.

3. Practice Past Questions Daily

The OAU Post-UTME consists of 40 questions. These questions typically cover Aptitude and three other subjects based on your JAMB subject combination. Practicing past questions daily is one of the most effective ways to prepare.

To prepare well, you can download OAU Post-UTME Past Questions from:
https://admissioncompanion.com/store or visit Study Companion

Consistent practice will help you understand the exam pattern, improve your speed, and boost your confidence.

4. Meet with Other Aspirants

Do not prepare alone. Join aspirant groups on WhatsApp or Telegram, attend tutorials if available, and connect with others who are also preparing for the same exam. Sharing information and studying together can help you stay motivated and learn from others.

5. Be Ready Physically and Mentally

Your health and mental state matter on exam day. Eat well, especially the day before your exam. Get enough sleep, and avoid anything that could make you anxious or tired. A well-rested mind performs better than a tired one.

Final Reminder

Here is a quick recap of what you need to do:

  1. Print two copies of your exam slip and know your batch.
  2. Arrive in Ile-Ife a day before your exam if possible.
  3. Practice past questions daily.
  4. Join aspirant groups and attend tutorials.
  5. Eat well and sleep properly before exam day.

With proper preparation and the right mindset, you can walk into that exam hall with confidence. Good luck with your OAU Post-UTME screening exercise.
