The management of the College of Nursing Sciences, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital (AE-FUTHA), Abakaliki, has announced the commencement of admission into its Nursing Council-approved Programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session:
- ND/HND in Nursing (4-years)
- Post Basic Nursing Programmes:
According to the institution, applications are currently ongoing for the following one-year postbasic programmes:
- Accident and Emergency Nursing
- Critical Care Nursing
- Nephrology Nursing
- Orthopedic Nursing
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates applying for the programmes must:
- Possess five (5) credit passes in WAEC, NECO or GCE in not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
- ND: Sat for 2026 JAMB UTME and scored 150 and above.
- Post Basic: Be qualified nurses duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- Post Basic: Possess a current practising licence.
Application Fee
The application fee is Twenty-Five Thousand, Two Hundred Naira (₦25,200) for Postbasic and Two Thousand Naira (₦2000) only for ND/HND Form.
How to Apply
- Visit the College official admission portal at http://cons-admission.aefutha.edu.ng to create an account and begin the application process.
- After account creation, log in to the admission portal using the username and password created to generate Remita RRR and make payment.
- After payment, candidates are to log in again to confirm payment and complete the application process.
- Successful applicants are expected to print their examination slip containing details of the examination date, venue and other relevant information.
AE-FUTHA Nursing Admission Deadline and Exam Dates
- Application Deadline: Monday 17th August, 2026 (ND/HND)
- Application Deadline: 21st September, 2026 (Postbasic)
- Entrance Examination Date: Saturday, 22nd August, 2026
- Entrance Examination Date: Wednesday, 26th September, 2026
