The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has launched a new, fully digital system that allows you to verify and upload your O’level results directly from the comfort of your home.

Great news for 2026 UTME candidates! You no longer need to visit a CBT center or stand in long queues to upload your O’level results.

This initiative, led by the current JAMB Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, is designed to make the admission process faster, safer, and much more convenient. By connecting JAMB’s system directly with examination bodies like WAEC, the board has eliminated the risks of misplaced results, manual entry errors, and fraudulent uploads.

Here is the complete, step-by-step guide to using the new home-based upload system.

Step 1: Verify Your O’level Result and Get Your Code

Before JAMB can accept your result, it must be verified directly by the examination body (like WAEC). You will need to pay a verification fee to get a unique code.

  1. Visit the verification portal: Go to buyresultsverificationcode.ng.
  2. Verify your identity: Enter your National Identification Number (NIN) and click “Verify NIN”.
  3. Choose your exam details: Select the number of sittings (one or two) and choose the examination body (e.g., WAEC). Click “Continue”.
  4. Provide your contact info: Enter your active email address and phone number, then click “Pay Now”.
  5. Make payment: Pay the required fee (1500) using your debit card or bank transfer.
    • Note: If you get a “Payment Initialization Failed” error or you pay but do not get a code, do not panic. Simply refresh the page, try a different browser, or use a different card. If the issue persists, reach out to our support line at the end of this post.
  6. Enter your exam details: After successful payment, input your specific exam information. You will need your:
    • Examination number
    • Examination series (e.g., May/June)
    • Examination year
  7. Get your code: The system will verify your result with WAEC and issue you a Verification Code. Write this code down or save it on your phone.

Step 2: Upload Your Result to JAMB

Once you have your Verification Code, the upload process is very straightforward. The steps you take depend on whether you are using one sitting or two sittings.

For Candidates Using One Sitting

Simply take the phone number linked to your JAMB profile and send an SMS in this exact format:

VERIFY [Space] [Your Verification Code] to 55019 or 66019

Example: VERIFY ABC12345 sent as SMS to 55019

You will receive an SMS confirmation from JAMB once the result is successfully uploaded to your profile. You are done!

For Candidates Combining Two Sittings

If you are combining two O’level results, you have a few extra steps to combine the subjects properly.

  1. Send the SMS command (VERIFY [Code] to 55019 or 66019) just like a single-sitting candidate.
  2. You will receive an SMS telling you to visit your JAMB e-Facility profile.
  3. Log in to the JAMB portal and click on “2026 UTME O’Level Upload” on your dashboard.
  4. Enter your Verification Code. Both of your verified results will appear on the screen.
  5. Select your subjects carefully. You must follow these strict rules:
    • You must select a minimum of 5 subjects.
    • You can select a maximum of 9 subjects.
    • Do not select any subject more than once (even if you sat for it twice, only pick the sitting where you scored higher).
  6. Click “Apply the O’Level Results” to finalize the upload.
  7. You will receive a final notification confirming that your combined results have been submitted successfully.
  8. You can also reach out to us if you need help with this service.

Important Things to Note

  • Double-check your subject selection: For those using two sittings, failing to select the required subjects or selecting a subject twice will cause issues during admission processing.
  • Keep your confirmation messages: Save the SMS you receive after sending the code to 55019/66019 as proof of your upload.
  • Mind the deadline: Do not wait until the last minute. While the official deadline for the 2026 exercise is Thursday, 13th August 2026, it is always best to complete your upload as early as possible to avoid last-minute network congestion.
