Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) BNSc ODL Nursing Admission Form 2024/2025 Session

Male and Female individuals who have diploma in relevant disciplines are now invited to apply for the 2024/2025 Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Science Programme (BNSc) of the Centre for Distance Learning (CDL), Obafemi Awolowo University, Moro, Osun State.

Nature of the Programme

The program is a flexible program for nurses or midwives who are currently working and would like to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Science. All enrolled Nursing Students will take core courses which provide knowledge in basic Nursing philosophy and practices; Elective courses in Law, Sociology and Computer Science are taken. As part of the academic programme, each Candidate would be required to go on six (6) weeks community and hospital postings in their 3rd and 4th sessions respectively. The Students would have designated Clinical Preceptors for this purpose they will be expected to have a seminar whereby they will share the experience they had throughout the period of posting.

Duration and Mode of the Program

The programme is for four (4) Academic Session with a hybrid mode of online and face to face classes.

Admission Requirements

• Applicants must be nurses registered by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, licensed as (RN/ RPN/ RM/RPHN etc).
• Applicants must possess West African School Certificate/GCE with credit in five (5) subjects obtained at not more than two sittings. The subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry.
• Candidates shall be invited for written and oral Interview.
• This program does not require JAMB or Direct Entry form.

• Fill the online form, and upload relevant documents including a white background passport.

ODL BNSc. Programme Screening and Orientation Exercise

The Screening exercise for the 2024/2025 BNSc candidates will hold on Thursday 6th June, 2024 at the Seminar room of the Centre for Distance Learning, Moro Campus at 8:00am prompt. The Orientation exercise will hold on the same day Thursday 6th June, 2024 AT THE SAME VENUE by 12 noon prompt.
Kindly bring along Original and Two (2) photocopies of each of the following:

• O’Level result(s)
• Professional Certificate e.g Registered Nurse/ Registered Midwife Certificate
• Valid Practicing Licence
• Marriage certificate and evidence of change of name for married women
• 2 passport photographs with white background
• Birth certificate
