Aspirants willing to change their institution of Choice and/or Course of Choice are hereby notified by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board that the JAMB Correction of Data Portal for UTME and Direct Entry candidates is now open for 2023/2024 admission process.
NOTE: Some Correction of Data Services for UTME and Direct Entry Students commences immediately after the sales of UTME forms end.

2023 Available Corrections with Cost Price
Gender Correction: Candidates can request for change of Gender. Supporting documents may be required. An indemnity form will be downloaded, printed, filled and submitted at Candidates Institution for Approval.
Price: ₦2,500 (excluding Remita Charges and CBT Centre Charges, if added, the cost will be between ₦3000 and ₦3500)
State/L.G.A Origin: Candidates can request for amendment of State/Local government. Supporting documents may be required. An indemnity form will be downloaded, printed, filled and submitted at Candidates Institution for Approval.
Price: ₦2,500 (excluding Remita Charges and CBT Centre Charges, if added, the cost will be between ₦3000 and ₦3500)
Change Of Course/Institution: This allows for candidates to request for change of course or Institution
Price: ₦2,500 (excluding Remita Charges and CBT Centre Charges, if added, the cost will be between ₦3000 and ₦3500)
Correction Of Names: This allows candidates to request for amendment of names e.g. Surname, First name or Last name. Has specific rules.

Some Important Notice on 2023 Change of Course/Institution and Data Corrections
Correction of any of the above data comes with a separate fee of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only [N2,500] excluding remita and CBT charges and can only be done ONCE including except JAMB Change of Course/Institution which can be done more times with separate payments.
UTME Students Change of Institution
The Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB has warned all UTME Candidates not to apply for change of institution and change of course to institutions that have already done their Post UTME or concluded their admission process.
DE (Direct Entry)Students Correction: Conversion of UTME to DE
Candidates who had earlier applied for JAMB UTME but are willing to change their form to direct entry from that it is now available at CBT Centres. This would allow such candidates to use their various qualifications to gain admission into 200 Level of University of their choice. please note that it is not allowed to buy both UTME and DE forms in the same year, but conversion of UTME to DE is possible.
Take Note that Direct Entry students have options to correct the following listed data too:
- Names Correction (Correction can only be done once)
- Date of Birth Correction (Correction can only be done once)
- Passport Correction (Correction can only be done once)
- Gender Correction (Correction can only be done once)
- State/LGA Correction (Correction can only be done once)
- Profile Correction (Correction can only be done once)
- A’Level Correction (Correction can only be done once)
- Choice of Institution/Course Correction (Correction can only be done THRICE with separate payments)
- All Direct Entry Candidates with correction of data issues should confirm that their indemnity form is sent to the nearest JAMB office

How to Do JAMB 2023/2024 Change of Course/Institution and Data Correction
As at this moment, Only CBT Centres are allowed to make Change of Institution or other Data Corrections and candidates have to be present in person because biometrics (fingerprint) is required.
- Candidates are to visit any nearest CBT Center, not Cafe with their 2023 JAMB UTME Registration Number or Profile Code for Change of institution/Course.
- The CBT Operator shall make use of this Registration number to access the candidate’s account and Make Payment to JAMB online
- The candidate will then be required to apply his/her Biometrics (fingerprint) to finalize the Change or Data Correction.
- The cost of this service varies from ₦3000 to ₦3500 depending on the location.
- JAMB advised that you book an appointment ahead in case you’ll be coming to their state offices.

Where can I do JAMB Change of Course or Institution?
Please be informed that all data corrections can only be done at JAMB Approved CBT Registration Centers Nationwide or JAMB Offices and the candidate has to be present physically to effect the changes.
Deadline For Change of Course/Institution and Data Corrections 2023
There is no specific closing date for Change of Course/Institution and Data Corrections 2023 unless that institution is no more accepting candidates. That happens after the school post UTME.

If the school reopens admission for the session, like EKSU, you can still change to the school. EKSU 2022 Post UTME form is still available now and you can still apply and change to the school.
In essence, the correction of data Closes once admission for the current academic session ends for each institution which will be announced on a specified date by each school.
