How to Calculate LAUTECH Post UTME Aggregate Score

The Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State for some years now have adopted the online screening of results as the method of screening candidates for admission into 100 level degree courses. In this guide, we will explain how you can calculate your aggregate screening points to assist you in making better decisions as regards course of choice.

The aggregate score is the score used to admit candidates into various courses, and it is computed using the JAMB UTME score (75%) and the O’level grades (25%). After calculating your aggregate score, you can compare it with the previous year cutoff mark to determine your eligibility for admission

How to Calculate LAUTECH Aggregate Screening Score

Follow this guide religiously in just two steps to calculate your aggregate screening score:

Step 1: Calculate JAMB Point

First and foremost, you need to know the worth of your JAMB UTME score, to do this, divide your JAMB score by 400 then multiply by 75.

Example: For a JAMB score of 300: (300/400) * 75 = 56.25

Step 2: Calculate O’level Points

To calculate this, you need to first understand the point assigned to each grade:

  • A1 = 6 points
  • B2 = 5 points
  • B3 = 4 points
  • C4 = 3 points
  • C5 = 2 points
  • C6 = 1 point
  • DEF=0

Add scores for your five compulsory/relevant subjects.

Example: 3 A1s (3*6), 1 B2 (5) and 1 B3 (4) total to 27.
Divide by 30 and multiply by 25.
For 28: (27/30) * 25 = 22.5

Now add both scores together: 56.25+22.5 = 78.75

Note: Check the departmental cut-off mark to ensure your aggregate score meets the requirement for your chosen course.
