JAMB Sets September 30 as Final Deadline for Pending Admission Offers (2021–2026)

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from 2021 to date to accept or reject their offers. The new and final deadline is now Wednesday, 30 September 2026.

This replaces the earlier deadline of Monday, 31 August 2026. The Board has made it clear that there will be no further extension after this date.

Who Is Affected?

This notice applies to all candidates who have been offered admission at any point from 2021 up to the current 2026 admission cycle but have not yet accepted or rejected those offers. This includes both regular admissions and those processed through the Centralised University and Institution Admission (CUIIA) process.

If you fall into this category, you must take action before the deadline.

What Happens If You Do Nothing?

The consequences are serious. At the expiration of the deadline, all outstanding admission offers from 2021 to date that have neither been accepted nor rejected will automatically revert to “Not Admitted” status. That offer will be lost permanently.

JAMB has warned that failure to accept an admission offer within the stipulated period will render the offer invalid.

What You Need to Do Now

1. Log in to the JAMB CAPS portal via the official e-Facility at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.
2. Review any outstanding admission offer displayed on your dashboard.
3. Make your decision:
   • Accept the offer: You can proceed to print your admission letter.
   • Reject the offer: Your dashboard will be reverted to “Not Admitted”.
4. Complete your decision before 30 September 2026.

Do not wait until the last minute. JAMB has strongly advised all affected candidates to act immediately.

Important Clarifications on JAMB Offer

What if I am no longer at the institution or studying a different programme?

If you are no longer in the institution where the previous admission was offered, or if you are currently enrolled in a different programme, you may accept the outstanding admission and subsequently apply for the appropriate correction or deletion.

What if I am currently pursuing a second degree?

If you are pursuing a second degree but still have a previous admission offer pending, you may reject the previous offer and continue with your current programme.

What if I have a 2026 admission and an older pending offer?

If you have been offered admission in the 2026 admission exercise but still have a previous admission offer pending, do not be worried. You can reject the earlier offer, and it will have no adverse effect on your 2026 admission.

Final Warning

This is the final opportunity to regularise your admission status. JAMB has stated clearly that there will be no further extension after 30 September 2026.
